Never one to rest on her fashion laurels, 21-year-old Coco Rocha has made a name of herself as one of the hardest-working models in the business. Recently married to interior designer James Conran, the Rocha whirlwind continues this month with the announcement that Coco is to be the July girl for the ‘Today I’m Wearing’ feature on www.vogue.co.uk. Now a regular part of the British Vogue website, the feature is a visual blog/diary charting the featured celebrity’s outfits for a month. Already one of the most popular sections of the website, previous ‘Today I’m Wearing’ girls include socialite Olivia Palermo, style icon Alexa Chung and models Daisy Lowe and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Coco is a smart choice for the feature, as she’s well known for her love of fashion, particularly pieces gleaned from vintage shops and flea markets. So far we’ve had a suitably eclectic mix of vintage and high-street favourites from Aldo and Topshop, with Coco even working in the boyfriend trend by borrowing her husband’s jacket for Day 2. If being Vogue’s ‘Today I’m Wearing’ girl wasn’t hectic enough, Coco continues to develop her strong internet presence both on her blog, http://ohsococo.blogspot.com and with regular updates on Twitter. Always keen to update fans on what is happening, Rocha caused a bit of a stir earlier this week when she tweeted about her latest campaign, for Victoria’s Secret fashion line, VS Pink. Modelling alongside Behati Prinsloo and Chanel Iman, both regulars in the annual Victoria’s Secret runway show, Coco’s presence in the VS Pink ad has sparked some serious debate. The lingerie brand as a rule tends to hire models who are already Victoria’s Secret ‘Angels’ which begs the question: will Rocha be next to grace the runway when the televised show returns in the autumn? Whether Coco gets to don the Angel wings or not, you can be sure that she’ll be the first to let you know. Sources: www.modelinia.com/blog www.vogue.co.uk Go to News archive...
